Launching
of the European Information Center
On 25 May 2006 in the headquarters of Perspectiva-INT
University took place the opening of the European Information
Center founded by the University and the Association for
European Training and Information.
Perspectiva-INT University is a private academic institution
established in 1996 in Chisinau, Moldova and accredited
to run various university-level study programs, including
related to European Studies. The courses offered within
this field of specialization include: Introduction to the
European Law, European Economic Integration, History of
European Integration, European Institutions and other. The
development of curriculum for these courses was supported
by the EU through TACIS -Moldova programme in 2001.
The Association for European Training and Information is
a non-governmental organization founded in 2003 in Chisinau,
Moldova by the participants of the Training of Trainers
program "The European Union and Moldova: Transition
processes and Strengthening the partnership". This
program of InWEnt - Capacity Building International, Germany
was implemented by the Institute for Public Policy (Moldova)
and the Institut fur Europaische Politik (Berlin, Germany)
in 2002-2003. It was financed by the Federal Foreign Office
of Germany in the framework of the Pact of Stability for
South East Europe. All of AETI members are internationally
certified European Union Trainers and provide trainings
in a wide variety of topics related to the EU.
European Information Center (EIC), a joint project of the
Perspectiva-INT University and the Association for European
Training and Information, has the objective of promoting
European values, informing population about the European
Union and supporting training in EU-related issues. To achieve
its objectives, the Center offers information, technical
assistance, rooms for meetings and training, consulting
and training programs. EIC possesses the necessary equipment
for its activities: computers with access to Internet, copier,
scanner, projector, screen, flip chart and training and
information materials. Textbooks, publications and other
materials found at the EIC were provided by the members
of the Association for European Training and Information,
Perspectiva -INT University, the Institute for Public Policies
and international organizations. The equipment was granted
by InWEnt - Capacity Building International (Germany), the
Institute for Public Policy (Moldova) and Perspectiva -INT
University.
